The “Stronghold” table is made of solid Caucasian ash.
It is a dense, strong and resilient wood with an expressive growth-ring pattern and long fibers.
On the large tabletop, the natural transitions of shades, the deep texture and the characteristic lively pattern of ash are especially visible.
Thermal modification at 160 C makes the wood more stable and more resistant to changes in humidity, and its natural shade deeper. The texture remains natural: the grain pattern is neither hidden nor evened out, so the table looks like a solid fragment of a real tree.
A natural crack runs through the tabletop and emphasizes its origin. The crack is filled with epoxy resin and secured with decorative butterfly inlays.
The unusual live edge follows the natural contour of the tree. The 40 mm tabletop thickness emphasizes the scale and solidity of the table.
The base is made of solid cherry.
The “Stronghold” table can be used as a large dining table in a country house, dining room or restaurant. In an office it will suit a meeting room — its expressive texture and imposing silhouette immediately give the space character.
Finish: hardwax oil.
