This table has been sold, but you can order a similar one from the plane tree slabs we have in stock at our factory.
The new “Atlas” will not be an exact copy: the grain pattern, wood shades, the shape of the live edge and the placement of natural cracks will be different.
The large dining table “Atlas” is made of solid plane tree wood — a wood with a dense structure, good hardness and an expressive pattern.
The surface shows natural transitions of shades, dark streaks and a live edge that preserves the natural shape of the tree.
The natural cracks in the tabletop are filled with epoxy resin. It emphasizes the wood pattern, preserves its character and makes the surface even and comfortable for everyday use.
The plane tree wood from which we make such tables undergoes vacuum thermal modification. During this process the wood is kept at a high temperature in a controlled environment. This reduces its ability to absorb moisture, lessens its reaction to humidity fluctuations and makes the tabletop dimensionally stable. The wood acquires a deeper shade, and its color becomes more expressive throughout its entire thickness.
Thermally modified wood is not susceptible to damage by insect pests.
A large family can gather around such a table; it is convenient for receiving guests and spending long evenings in conversation.
The base can be chosen from other options in the Forestoff collection. Examples are shown on the pages of our tables — we will help you find a solution for your interior.
