Plane is a light pinkish brown. Quarter-sawn, its rays form a fine flecked, lace-like pattern. After thermal treatment the wood turns an even, warm brown.

It is medium-hard and works well, but tends to warp when green, so careful drying and stabilisation are key. Thermal treatment improves its moisture resistance.

We use plane for tables, tabletops, wall panels and decor.
