Magnolia sapwood is creamy; the heartwood ranges from greenish olive to brown, sometimes with purple streaks. The texture is fine and uniform.
It is medium-hard, easy to work and sands well. It isn't stable in damp conditions, so we dry it carefully and seal it with a protective finish.
We use magnolia for epoxy tables, decor and turned pieces.
